Our consultant regularly holds seminars, workshops and information sessions on a variety of topics related to college search, application and financing processes. Below, you will find details of our current and upcoming programs and services. Additionally, our counselor provides individual appointments to aid students and their parents with setting realistic college admissions goals and expectations. Naviance Know-How in 90 Minutes
If you're the parent of a 9-12th grader, this workshop is for you! Understanding the ins & outs of Naviance and how it can help you in the college search process will save you a great deal of time and anxiety as your student navigates high school and eventually the college admissions process. This program is for high schoolers and their parent(s) and requires a laptop or tablet and knowledge of your Naviance login info (User ID and password). This program is limited to 10 families. Registration and payment are required in advance.

Spring Small Group SAT Prep for the March 27th & April 9th CT Exams
Each 4 hour session will include test taking strategies, sample exam questions, practice tests, and answer review. English prep will run from 10:30 AM- 12:30 PM and will focus on the Reading Test and the Writing & Language Test. Math prep will run from 1-3 PM. Both the no calculator and calculator sections of the exam will be addressed. There will be a 30 minute break for lunch. Our students typically increase their scores by 100-200 points overall. Registration and full payment are required in advance by either using PayPal below or by mailing a check payable to Access Success. Enrollment in this program is limited to 8 students. College Boot Camp
This workshop will be offered in 3 separate sessions. Enrollment is limited to 4 students per session so as to provide individualized attention. By workshop's end, students can expect to have 75%-90% of their applications completed. In this two-day program, rising high school seniors will finalize their college lists and receive coaching for:
• filling out each page of the Common App and/or Coalition App
• writing their essays, supplements, and resumes
• updating their Naviance accounts
• establishing free accounts with scholarship search engines like Fastweb

College Essay Writing Workshop
In this workshop we examine what makes an outstanding college application essay by reading and discussing samples of those that have met with success and with failure. Included in the cost of this 2-hour seminar is one online proofreading session when requested by the student. Please note that additional fees may apply if the essay is considered to need extensive revisions.

College Admissions Playbook
Join us for a musical-chairs style game to learn what makes a 3.2 student more desirable than a 4.0 student! This program is open to students and parents of all ages and is a MUST for families with a 9th, 10th and/or 11th grader. The program is FREE, open to the public, and hosted by C.H. Financial Aid Fundamentals
This workshop provides an in-depth look at the financial aid process helping to demystify it and set realistic expectations for financing college. The differences between loans, grants, scholarships and work studies will be explained. Information relating to both the FAFSA and the CSS Profile will be shared. This program is recommended for parents of 9th-11th graders. Registration is required and may be made by emailing or making a PayPal payment here.
